My Reports

Create, monitor, sort, open, and manage PCAP and Collector reports.

My Reports is the home for every PCAP and Collector report associated with your account. Use it to start an analysis, monitor processing, review retention, and reopen previous work.

Create a report

Use the actions in the title bar to create a report:

  • Upload a PCAP analyzes an existing PCAP or PCAPNG file.
  • Install Collector opens the installation instructions for continuous network monitoring.

When there are no reports yet, the same choices appear as larger cards in the empty state. A newly uploaded report is added to the list immediately while the server finishes registering and processing it.

Understand report status

Each row shows its current state:

  • In Progress means traffic is still being processed. My Reports periodically checks active rows and updates their status.
  • Online means the report is ready to open.
  • An error state means processing could not complete; use the available error details before uploading or collecting again.

Collector reports can remain online and continue receiving analysis updates. A completed PCAP report represents a fixed capture.

Read a report row

The list identifies the report name, source, creation time, status, and expiration date. PCAP identifies an uploaded capture. Collector identifies continuously collected traffic.

Times are stored and compared in UTC, then displayed in your local timezone.

Sort and page the list

Sort by newest, oldest, name, or expiration date. Paging is performed by the server, so each page requests only the matching rows it needs.

Rows per page offers 10, 25, 50, and 100 rows. The default automatically chooses as many rows as fit in the available height without adding a page-level vertical scrollbar.

The report-history title, column labels, and pager remain fixed while the rows scroll.

Expiration notices

Reports expiring within 72 hours are called out when you first open My Reports. Review the affected rows before dismissing the notice. A report whose expiration date has already passed is not labelled as expiring soon and should be excluded by the server-side report view.

Dismissal is retained while you open a report and return to My Reports during the same session.

New report notices

My Reports checks for reports created outside the currently visible page, including reports created elsewhere while the screen is open. The new-report notice lets you refresh the history and bring those rows into scope.

Locally uploaded reports are tracked separately so the same report is not announced twice.

Open or delete a report

Select a ready row to open it in Red Hand Analytics. Back to My Reports returns to the same report library and refreshes the list.

Deleting a report removes it from My Reports and refreshes the server-side list. Deletion cannot be undone, so confirm that the report is no longer needed first.

Reports that do not appear

If a report is missing, check whether it is still being registered, has expired, or belongs to a different account. My Reports does not remove expired rows in the browser; eligibility is controlled by the server-side reports view.
